Short Bio:
Sugandh has over two decades of experience across fintech, financial inclusion/microfinance, social development, and technology, with expertise in policy, research, data analysis, standards setting, customer protection, credit information infrastructure, and industry-wide collaborations.
As CEO of the Fintech Association for Consumer Empowerment (FACE), the only RBI-recognised Self-Regulatory Organisation in the FinTech sector (SRO-FT) and largest FinTech Association, she leads efforts to strengthen the ecosystem and make it more responsible and robust. Before FACE at MFIN, she steered policy advocacy, research, the SRO function, and helped establish the microfinance sector’s credit bureau and employee bureau. She has also held roles at ACTED/SAMN, ITC, SEWA Bharat, and Bharat Electronics.
She serves on the Board of AllianceDFA and has contributed to the RBI’s Technical Working Group on Credit Bureaus and the BFSI Sector Skill Council. An engineering graduate from MNNIT and postgraduate from LSE, she is an awardee of the Commonwealth Scholarship and a Tufts University fellowship.
